Situated amidst one of the world’s largest centers for medical research and treatment, the Houston Marriott Medical Center is conveniently located on METRORail, Houston’s light rail system that connects the Medical Center area with the nearby Museum District and Downtown Houston. Also located nearby is Rice Village, a mixed center of dining and retail that is accessible with via the conference hotel’s shuttle service (at no charge) or a twenty-minute walk through the early twentieth century residential neighborhoods that border the Rice University campus and football stadium (site of President Kennedy’s “We choose to go to the moon” speech, delivered in September 1962). Traveling to Houston

Airline travel – Houston is served by two major airports: George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), located 23 miles (approximately 30 minutes travel time) north of the conference hotel, and William P. Hobby International Airport (HOU), located 13 miles (approximately 20 minutes travel time), southeast of the conference hotel. Both airports are served by direct flights from most major cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Rail travel – Amtrak’s Houston station (HOS) is served by the Sunset Limited passenger service that operates between New Orleans and Los Angeles.
